Celebrate Murrieta’s 27th Annual Birthday Bash!

The city of Murrieta is having their Annual Birthday Bash at California Oaks Sports Park on Saturday June 30th, 2018. Originally, the town was bought by Esquial Murrieta as a place to raise his sheep. Unsuccessful, the land went to his brother Juan in 1873. Murrieta has come a long way since then, and officially named a city in 1991, and has blossomed into a hub of natural beauty and vibrant culture. There will be live music and fireworks to celebrate the city’s 27th year. The celebration beings at 2pm, and goes until 9pm, with the events as follows:

  • 2:00: Celebration begins at California Oak Sports Park
  • 4:00: Firefighters Hosedown
  • 5:00: Creedenced: Tribute to CCR
  • 7:00: Neil Diamond Tribute – Jason Lohrke as Neil Diamond
  • 9:00: Fireworks Spectacular

Because this is an outdoor event, it is a good idea to bring some supplies, both for your

comfort and entertainment. Items you may want to bring are (but not limited to):

  • Folding chairs, unless you are fine sitting on the floor
  • A blanket to spread out on the ground
  • Sunblock
  • Glow sticks
  • Snacks/Cash for food
  • Comfortable shoes for moving around in
  • A camera
  • Birthday decorations (It is a birthday party after all)
    • Balloons
    • Birthday hats
    • Piñata

Be sure to come out and celebrate this wonderful city! If you have any questions about the festivities, be sure to contact the Community Services Department at (951)-304-7275. We hope to see you there!
