Emergency Preparation: Supply Kit & Home InsuranceInsured by Carver
- Water: You should have at least one gallon per person per day in your disaster supply kit. A three-day supply is advisable, but if you have space for more water add it in since you will use this not just to drink, but also for sanitation purposes.
- Food: Make sure your kit has a three-day supply of nonperishable food.
- Radio & Flashlight: Both of these supplies are crucial. Hand-crank options will free you from worry about running out of power, but if you do include battery-operated options make sure you add plenty of extra batteries to your kit.
- First Aid Kit: Make sure yours is fully stocked and approved by the Red Cross.
